Fighting Those Dirty Grouts … Simple Fix, Big Difference

Over time grouts just pick up dirt and don’t look fresh any more – this is just the natural life of tiled floors and backsplashes in the kitchen. But when selling your home you want them to look fresh. Have you tried scrubbing and cleaning them over and over again and are still dissatisfied with the results? That happens all too often.

A simple solution is using a regular White Out – yes, the stationary white out. Just use the little brush in the bottle and touch up the grouts and immediately wipe off any excess. The good thing is that once it is dried, it does not come off when you are wet sweeping your floor. 

If you have some experience with mixing colors you can also mix the White Out with some color to match the original grout color.

See here the difference – the grout was originally white, but after years it is now grey and dirty – all cleaning did not work to get the original color back:
