How to Create a Curb Appeal That Gets Buyers Into the Door and Sells

You only have a 10 seconds to create a first impression – better make sure that this is a great one. Great curb appeal will get buyers into the door and them wanting your house. Common things that can greatly improve the look and feel of your house include:

  • freshly painted entrance door
  • painted shutters to go with roof color and/or foundation color
  • entry door framing plants or planters with plants
  • trimming trees to better see the house
  • sometimes removing trees
  • plants and landscaping that is in proportion to the house size
  • edging grass alongside the walkway
  • edging flower and landscaping beds
  • fresh mulch
  • fresh coat of stain or paint on front porch and deck
  • strategically placed bench or Adirondack chairs
